Position: Billing Specialist
In-Office M-F-8am-5pm
Position Overview:
The Billing Specialist is responsible for managing the billing process within the organization. This role involves ensuring accurate invoicing, maintaining billing records, and addressing any discrepancies in a timely manner. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop accurate monthly invoices for clients
Create and update client profiles and payment information
Process and record customer ACH and credit card payments
Respond by email and phone to client inquiries regarding invoices, payments, and contracts
Contact clients regarding declined or rejected payments to obtain updated payment information
Process and respond to contract cancellation requests
Collaborate with other departments to verify contractual details and ensure accurate billing
Review client accounts for past due balances and perform collection efforts by phone and email
Perform other administrative and clerical tasks as needed to maintain accurate company and financial records
Participate in accomplishing company goals by accepting ownership for new and different initiatives
What We’re Looking For:
Commitment to accuracy and attention to detail, experience with financial record-keeping preferred
Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to clearly and professionally discuss financial matters with clients, complemented by excellent problem-solving abilities.
Manage multiple priorities (multi-task) and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines while working in a fast-paced environment
Work individually and as part of a team
Maintain strict confidentiality with sensitive information
Solid computer skills and experience with MS Office/Excel, QuickBooks Online (preferred), and other web-based applications including Zendesk, Hubspot, and PandaDoc
Education
Associate’s degree in business or accounting or equivalent experience preferred but not required
Work Experience
- Two or more years of relevant work experience preferred
Hourly (TBD based on job experience and skill level)
